Homegas, Community Propane, and Royal Petroleum are coming together to form the Associated Fuel Company to provide the most reliable, customer-oriented propane service the region has ever seen! The Associated Fuel Company will still be the same people providing the same level of superb care and attention that you have come to expect, but now we will also provide:
A full-time order and dispatch staff.
A live person to answer the phone during business hours
24 hour answering service to handle emergencies
24 x 7 x 365 tank maintenance and repair service
The convenience of credit card and electronic payment capabilities

- Retail
The Royal Petroleum Company is proud to announce that we are getting back into retail! The Flying "A" has long since been associated with superior service. In the beginning of July, the first Flying "A" station in over 25 years opened its doors to the public! We are bringing back the days of the service with a smile!
In addition to bringing a bit of nostalgia back to the Bay Area, the Royal Petroleum Company has recently entered into contract with ConocoPhillips (COP) to brand stations under their 76 logo. COP is a major brand that provides a contractual guarantee of supplied product, and funds through the 2010 West Coast Redevelopment Assistance Program (WRAP), a COP proprietary program. This allows Royal Petroleum to offer upgrades/conversions to station owners on a self-amortized loan, or rebate basis, including:
Raze and Rebuild,
Bay Conversion to C-Store Project,
Reconfigure, Forecourt Remodel,
C-Store Remodel,
Car Wash, and other projects

- Fuel Motor Tax
Effective July 1, 2010, the Gas Tax Swap provisions enacted by Assembly Bill X8-6 and Senate Bill 70 went into effect in California. The initial changes to the sales and excise tax are applicable for gasoline purchases. The new state excise tax on gasoline sold in California will increase $0.173 cents per gallon to $0.353 cents per gallon. The Sales and Use Tax on gasoline will decrease from 8.25% to 2.25%. The Prepaid Sales Tax rate will decrease from $0.185 cents per gallon to $0.055 cents per gallon.
In addition, the state requires that taxpayers owning more than 1,000 gallons of storage of gasoline as of 12:01 am, on July 1, 2010, pay a "Storage Tax" equal to the excise rate increase of $0.173 cents per gallon.
